I'm always looking for the most watt hours for the lowest price and this was the winner. It's pretty big compared to compact v-mounts but that doesn't bother me. I just need as much power as possible and this delivers.

Yes, the GVM V-Mount Battery with D-Tap and DC Outputs BV-95 can mount to the V-Mount plates on RED DMSC cameras. Although the battery provides power, you will not get a real-time readout for battery duration on the camera. You should consider monitoring the battery voltage through the RED LCD for battery life.

The item description says, "D-Tap and DC outputs, both of which can be used as a charging or discharging port." This is inconsistent with the product labeling that clearly says only "DC OUTPUT" at the USB port. Which is it?

B&H Staff continue defending this incorrect description. The DC output can only be used as a charging port. I cannot be used as a charging port. The word "both" really does mean "both." It needs to be amended. There are lots of other talented B&H staff who will understand the importance of this (and the danger to the product, of plugging a power source into the DC output port that uses the USB standard - the product description currently invites this dangerous scenario).
