Offered here in chrome, the 10.5' GVM C330 Turtle Base C-Stand and Grip Arm Kit is used for mounting lighting equipment and a variety of light-shaping tools and accessories. Constructed from stainless steel, the stand employs two risers and three sections that fully extend to a height of 126". The turtle base detaches completely from the riser. The base has wide C-type legs with a stable footprint of 27.6" that accommodates easy sandbagging and straddling of obstacles as well as folding flat. The stand has a 5/8" stud for lights or other gear. It comes with a 40" grip arm, as well as a separate grip head that allows the clamped arm to travel anywhere along its length for positioning modifiers such as silks, flags, and scrims.

Don't waste your time

Someone else said it but I completely agree. The base of this stand is great. Solid even. But the boom arm and grips are completely not usable for anything. The boom arm bend so easy that it's dangerous. Seriously do not waste your time. I bought two and returned it the same day I got them.

It is strong and flexible in movement. Easy to install it and easy to take it anywhere . I'm using it with GVM - YU300R led light it is very heavy but with this tripod it is to move it because it is very strong and stable . It is s amazing tripod

Is there a mm diameter indicated anywhere for the grip arm itself? Trying to figure out if item #CAC1444 (with 15mm opening) will slide onto it . Thanks.

The grip arm would be roughly 5/8" in this C330 Turtle Base C-Stand Kit, but there are no millimeters imprinted on the grip head.
