Good but a few cheap parts

Let's be honest you get what you pay for. However, this stand would be really nice if they did not cheap out of two parts. The first part is the plastic...yes PLASTIC cross-bar locking rotary knob. I only had the stand for a few weeks, sat it up two days ago, and it broke, had to get some of my spare parts to fix it properly. The other issue is the other cross bar locking rotary knob, this one is made of metal, but....it has a plastic, yes plastic nut inside that I can see busting after a few uses, but it looks like it can be replaced but I opted to not even put it on cause it looks cheap and not good, so once again went to the spare part bin and put on a proper locking knob. I should have spent a little more and purchased something different. So in short over all it is a heavy (good) c-stand, its just the sub-standard parts that is negative, but if you have some spare parts or can buy proper knobs for the price it is o-kay

Good customer service but poor quality product

I would not buy this product again because it’s a liability on set and unreliable. The threaded holes for the knobs are not one solid piece so they eventually give out over time and break. I have had two break. One on the stand and another on the boom. The bolt on the base also repeatedly comes loose so I have to keep tightening it and adjusting the legs. The boom mount size is incorrect for the pin and the knob is cheap plastic resulting in a very insecure set up especially for something that is potentially over head. The product was out of warranty by the time it broke but GVM still replaced it so I’m thankful for that. Seems like GVM is trying so hopefully we will see improvements very soon.
