The Launcher from Soyuz Microphones is a clean booster for one dynamic microphone, designed to give it more gain if your mic preamp isn't giving you a strong enough mic level without imparting unwanted noise. However, unlike other clean boosters, the Launcher is not designed to give you a clean gain boost. Instead, it boosts while imparting a vintage, analog sound, reminiscent of a classic console.

Does this require phantom power to run? And can it pass phantom power on to, say, a condenser mic?
This does require phantom power to run, however it will not pass phantom power. The booster is intended for use with dynamic and ribbon mics.
