How does the battery not fall out of the battery slot?
The cable on the dummy battery can be threaded through a gap in the battery door thus allowing the battery door to stay closed.

Will this also work in the battery grip of the Em-5II?
Actually that it incorrect, the Bescor BLN dummy battery + A/C adapter should work in the HLD-8 battery grip. The HLD-8 grip takes a standard BLN-1 battery that is combined with the battery in the camera to double the power. You can put a dummy battery in the slot in the HLD-8. Since I have the E-m5 mark I, I have the HLD-6 battery grip, but the battery part is common to both grips. I've used dummy batteries for the E-m5 mark I from other manufactuers in the battery grip and it works fine.
In fact if you have the grip, you can keep the door of the battery slot open to feed the cable out. This avoids the normal problem with a dummy battery in the camera body, since it allows the camera sit straight on the group, instead of having to snake the wire under the camera, and raise it up somewhat.
