Ideal for small to medium-size productions, B&H has put together this Genaray Hex Lighting 36" Soft Strip 6-Light Pro Kit with Aluminum Stands for image makers who require a comprehensive lighting system for the studio that can also run on batteries in locations that don't have AC power available. The kit comes with six 36" SSL-36 Bi-Color Strip Lights, each with 2-way barndoors, an AC adapter, and a battery plate for optional V-mount batteries. Also included are five heavy-duty 9.5' air-cushioned light stands, a Combo Boom Stand to use one of the lights overhead, a two-section backlight stand, and two Super Clamps with 5/8" snap-in pins. Seven 15 lb filled orange sandbags are also included as counterweights for the lights.

You may purchase the Impact 6" Baby Pin Wall Plate, B&H # IMSRP116P, or the Impact Wall Plate with 90-Degree Baby Pin, B&H # IMSRP119P, to mount the Genaray SSL-36B Soft Strip Bi-Color LED Light (4 x 36") to a wall stud.

I'm considering using two of these for copy work. Is the bicolor version and the 5600 only version different brightnesses. If I'm mostly using the 5600 daylight setting, should I get the bicolor version? Do the extra LEDs increase the brightness at the 5600 level?
For maximum brightness you should get the Daylight version. The Bi color splits the Led's in half so you get only half the output compared to Daylight.

Why does the beam angle state 110 when the other versions are around 60-70?
The flat diffuser in front of the LEDS cause the light to difuse and spread over a wide srea with soft shadows over all. The the adjustable bard doors help to keep the diffused light from speading too far.
