I have a Gitzo 3543LS tripod. How does the base of the TA-2U-LC fit onto the 3/8 screw when it appears to have a bowl shape?

The Really Right Stuff TA-2U Leveling Base with Lever-Release Clamp has a built in leveling base that will simulate the bowl. Underneath is the thread that can mount on the base of the Gitzo GT3543LS Systematic Carbon Fiber Tripod (B&H # GIGT3543LS), like any ball head.
