Kase Wolverine ND Filter Kit II Overview

From Manufacturer

This Kase Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II contains four filters that can be used individually or in various combinations to improve the results of your photography. The included filters consist of three solid neutral density filters and a circular polarizer filter.

Together, these filters provide a versatile solution for various lighting conditions. Mounted within nonthreaded steel filter rings, each Kase Wolverine magnetic filter is made to fit within a Kase Magnetic Lens Adapter Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters. The filters feature tempered, shock-resistant optical glass that includes multiple layers of anti-reflection coatings to prevent internal ghosting and reflections while further enhancing clarity as well as color fidelity. These coatings also offer greater protection to the filter substrate and help it to stay clean for longer than with uncoated filters.

A Kase Magnetic Lens Cap is also included. This cap can protect the front of a compatible nonthreaded Kase Wolverine magnetic filter from dust, scratches, and fingerprints.

Kase 95mm Magnetic Lens Adapter Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters
  • Allows Kase Wolverine Magnetic Filters to be used on lenses with 95mm front filter threads
  • Enables convenient installation or removal of Kase Wolverine magnetic filters
  • Allows up to four Kase Wolverine magnetic filters to be magnetically stacked in front of a camera lens
  • Steel construction
Kase Wolverine Magnetic Solid Neutral Density Filters (3-, 6-, and 10-Stop)
  • Magnetic solid neutral density filters each with a nonthreaded steel filter ring
  • 0.9, 1.8, and 3.0 neutral density filters darken the entire image, allowing you to photograph with a longer shutter speed or wider aperture than normally required
  • Providing a 3-, 6-, or 10-stop exposure reduction, these filters allow you to control depth of field and convey movement more easily
  • Filters do not affect the overall coloration of the image
  • Tempered, optical glass construction for shock resistance
  • Multi-coated to prevent internal ghosting and reflections
  • Scratch-resistant and hydrophobic coatings on each filter's glass surfaces protect the filters' substrates and result in an improved beading effect when in contact with water or oil for greater cleaning efficiency
Kase Wolverine Magnetic Circular Polarizer Filter
  • Magnetic polarizer filter with nonthreaded steel filter ring
  • Helps to reduce reflections and glare by filtering out light that has become polarized due to reflection from a non-metallic surface, clears up haze in distant landscapes, and provides more saturated, vivid colors
  • Does not disrupt auto exposure or focus features and is constructed from tempered, optical glass construction for shock resistance
  • Multi-coated to prevent internal ghosting and reflections
  • 2x filter factor reduces exposure by 1 stop
  • Scratch-resistant and hydrophobic coatings on each glass surface protect the filter substrate and result in an improved beading effect when in contact with water or oil for greater cleaning efficiency
Kase 95mm Magnetic Lens Cap
  • Protects the front of a compatible nonthreaded Kase Wolverine magnetic filter from dust, scratches, and fingerprints
  • Steel construction

Hi everyone, My most used lenses are 82mm, however, I do have 200-600 that I have used filters on in the past. That is 95mm. I am not sure if its better to get the 95mm set with an 82mm step up ring - or just get the 82mm set. Not sure how often I will use filters on the 95mm lens..(though its nice to have) - I currently use Nisi square filter - and they do fit the 95mm lens - but Id rather not have to pack two filter systems. which one would you buy? thanks
Asked by: Brent
We would recommend getting the Kase 95mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II then the Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (82 to 95mm), BH # KAKWMSP8295. https://bhpho.to/3LOH7g7

Do these have any play in the fit? The set I have has a lot of play side to side on the filter and even more on the cap
Asked by: patrick
Yes. The play is to help prevent scratches from being caused.

Has anyone used this with a Sony 24-105? If so do you get vignetting when stacking the ND and CPL filters? I read on Kase website https://kasefilters.com/faq that it will have vignetting on this lens regardless of filter size. Is that true?
Asked by: Nhi
Yes when using Kase 95mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II you need to add an adapter ring to then add the magnetic filters and it becomes very thick if you are stacking multiple filters on top of another and then on top of the adapter ring, that cases vignetting when it is in wide angle position of 24mm.

Has anyone used this system with a Canon RF 15-35? If so do you get vignetting at 15mm when stacking the ND and CPL filters?
Asked by: Jaime
Just got my set of 95mm filters and the 82-95mm filter adapter. I did a full test of them and here is what I found. I stacked the CPL with two other filters total of 3 and had mechanical vignetting. This went back to normal at 17mm. In most situations I would not be stacking that many filters at once. In addition I usually shoot at 20mm and rarely go all the way to 15mm.

Using a Zeiss Milvus 15mm: the lens has a 95mm ...

Using a Zeiss Milvus 15mm: the lens has a 95mm filter size and 110* angle of view. Will the 95mm filter kit vignette or should I consider the next size up with a step-up ring?
Asked by: Albert
There is always some vignetting when using ultra wide lenses with front ND filters. Whether or not the amount is acceptable to you will depend on your personal preference. However, given the distance between the front element of that specific lens and the edge of the front of the lens where the filter threads are, I would not expect such vignetting to be a result of the rim of the filter. Rather, it would be due to the angle of the entry of light and the fact that it has to go through the filter somewhat sideways. Again, this is normal with ultra wide angle lenses.
