Hi everyone,
My most used lenses are 82mm, however, I do have 200-600 that I have used filters on in the past. That is 95mm.
I am not sure if its better to get the 95mm set with an 82mm step up ring - or just get the 82mm set. Not sure how often I will use filters on the 95mm lens..(though its nice to have) - I currently use Nisi square filter - and they do fit the 95mm lens - but Id rather not have to pack two filter systems.
which one would you buy?
thanks
We would recommend getting the Kase 95mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II then the Kase Magnetic Step-Up Ring for Wolverine Magnetic Filters (82 to 95mm), BH # KAKWMSP8295.

Do these have any play in the fit? The set I have has a lot of play side to side on the filter and even more on the cap
Yes. The play is to help prevent scratches from being caused.

Has anyone used this with a Sony 24-105? If so do you get vignetting when stacking the ND and CPL filters? I read on Kase website https://kasefilters.com/faq that it will have vignetting on this lens regardless of filter size. Is that true?
Yes when using Kase 95mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II you need to add an adapter ring to then add the magnetic filters and it becomes very thick if you are stacking multiple filters on top of another and then on top of the adapter ring, that cases vignetting when it is in wide angle position of 24mm.

Has anyone used this system with a Canon RF 15-35? If so do you get vignetting at 15mm when stacking the ND and CPL filters?
Just got my set of 95mm filters and the 82-95mm filter adapter. I did a full test of them and here is what I found. I stacked the CPL with two other filters total of 3 and had mechanical vignetting. This went back to normal at 17mm. In most situations I would not be stacking that many filters at once. In addition I usually shoot at 20mm and rarely go all the way to 15mm.

Using a Zeiss Milvus 15mm: the lens has a 95mm filter size and 110* angle of view. Will the 95mm filter kit vignette or should I consider the next size up with a step-up ring?
There is always some vignetting when using ultra wide lenses with front ND filters. Whether or not the amount is acceptable to you will depend on your personal preference. However, given the distance between the front element of that specific lens and the edge of the front of the lens where the filter threads are, I would not expect such vignetting to be a result of the rim of the filter. Rather, it would be due to the angle of the entry of light and the fact that it has to go through the filter somewhat sideways. Again, this is normal with ultra wide angle lenses.
