The VOX VXT-1 is a tuner in a stompbox form factor, one that offers three selectable meters and multiple offset tuning modes. Use this tuner with electric or electric/acoustic guitars and basses.
Whether you prefer the visualizations of strobe tuner or those of a diamond or vertical display, the VXT-1 will have you covered. Offset tuning modes let you tune your axe using sympathetic resonances, so if you need electric guitar, acoustic guitar, bass guitar, Open D, Open E, or even DADGAD tuning, the pedal will provide the appropriate mode.
The pedal is accurate to within ±0.02 cents. The tuner employs a smooth LED display. When battery powered, it can provide up to 24 hours of continuous use.
True bypass circuitry has been utilized, so that your tone remains completely unaffected when the pedal is in bypass. You can power the VXT-1 with a 9V battery or a separately available power supply. Also, when the pedal is powered externally, it can power other effects units from its DC 9V out jack, doing so without affecting the performance of the pedal.
- Strobe: This is designed on the principle of a strobe tuner. Tune your instrument to stop the flow of the LED meter illumination. The LED meter illumination rotates clockwise when the pitch is sharp and counter-clockwise when the pitch is flat. This is highly precise, allowing more accurate tuning.
- Diamond: Tune your instrument so that the angle above the LED meter is lit. An LED to the right of the center is lit when the pitch is sharp, and an LED to the left of center is lit when the pitch is flat. When the pitch is correct, the blue LED of the top angle is lit.
- Vertical: Tune your instrument so that the left and right angles of the LED meter are lit. The LED above the center is lit when the pitch is sharp, and the LED below is lit when the pitch is flat. When the pitch is correct, the left and right angles of the LED are lit simultaneously with the upper blue LED.
