Godox AD1200Pro Overview

Featuring wireless control via the 2.4 GHz wireless X system with a range of up to 328' and 1200Ws of power, the AD1200Pro Battery Powered Flash Kit from Godox is an impressive lighting tool compatible with several TTL systems including Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Olympus, and Panasonic. It offers up to nine steps of output power in Manual flash mode, ranging from 1/1 to 1/256, and comes with a powerful 36V/5200mAh lithium-ion battery pack that provides up to 500 full-power flashes that make it suitable in outdoor or location shooting. Alternatively, you can run the monolight on AC power with an optional adapter.

The AD1200Pro recycles to full power in just two seconds and features a high-speed sync mode that works with shutter speeds up to 1/8000 second with action-stopping flash durations from 1/220 to 1/10,860 seconds. Another unique setting is its Stable Color Temperature mode, which tightly controls color to keep temperature changes within ±75K across the entire power range. Besides these impressive specs, in Stroboscopic Mode it's capable of 100 continuous pops at 1/16 power output. Finally, a 40W LED modeling lamp with three selectable modes draws negligible power and helps previsualize your captured image.

If i get a X1 R transmitter to trigger the AD1200 and mount my Canon ST-E3-RT Speedlite Transmitter on top of the X1 R will it work to trigger my 600 EX-RT’s speedlites?
    Asked by: Arthur
Yes this will in fact work in the set up you described. With the Godox transmitter, it will also change the mode (TTL or Manual) on the Canon ST-E3-RT as well. So if you have the Godox set to TTL, it will change the Canon to TTL as well, but for it to sync the same setting to the Canon flash as well, you need to first set the Canon transmitter to the desired mode (TTL or Manual) sync it with the Canon transmitter while it is detached from the Godox transmitter, then mount the Canon transmitter back on top of the Godox and then they will sync up settings properly. A very interesting approach but it will work. A better option I would recommend would be to sell the Canon transmitter and Speedlight that you have, purchase the Godox Pro Transmitter and either a Godox V860II or Godox V1, so that then you have all equipment being controlled by one transmitter which is a better functioning one overall.

What do i need to buy if i want to use with a canon camera and a couple of canon 600ex-rt speedlites
    Asked by: Arthur
You would need a Godox transmitter for your Canon camera and a Canon compatible receiver for each of your 600EX RT speedlites. There is a kit such as the Godox X1C TTL Wireless Flash Trigger Set for Canon to get you started: https://bhpho.to/3imbtr3
