The 20mm and 85mm f/1.8 S lenses have Dual Stepping motors. However, the 35mm and 50mm lenses do not. Is this info correct?
That is correct the Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S Lens and the Nikon NIKKOR Z 20mm f/1.8 S Lens have the Multi-focus system and the 50 and 35 does not.

The ribs on the barrel are tiny. Can this be used with a Follow focus for Filmmaking?
To use the Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S Lens with a follow focus system you will need to attach a gear to the lens barrel. Or use a gearless follow focus.

Two reviews have described a pronounced focus shift with this lens and they said to stop down before focusing to correct for this. Doesn't this limit the ability to focus this lens in low light? How do you do get around this problem?
The Nikon Z bodies focus at the chosen aperture if you are shooting between wide open and f5.6. But when stopped down further than f5.6 (say f16 for example), they focus at f5.6 first, then take the picture at f16. That minimizes focus shift as compared to focusing at wider apertures.

Anyone uses this lens in an indoor basketball situation? Is it fast in tracking with Z7?
If you are under the basket, you might find an 85mm to be "too close." I've used my 70-200 and 50 prime while under the basket, but not my 85. With my 70-200, I've always felt 70 was not quite wide enough when I'm positioned under the basket, so I tend to prefer the 50 if I want most of my shots to be of action right at the basket.

Yes, you can fit Nikon NIKKOR Z 85mm f/1.8 S Lens with the lens hood attached on reverse or front foward position inside the LensCoat LensPouch (Small). The pouch i made of a neoprene stretchable material.
