Designed to work with unshielded twisted pair (UTP) LAN cables, the Simply45 Cat 6 UTP Unshielded RJ45 Pass-Through Modular Plug connects onto 24 AWG solid and 28-26 AWG stranded LAN cables up to 0.27" in diameter. One-hundred single piece pass-through modular RJ45 plugs come packed inside of a convenient plastic jar, which work with most Cat 6 cables in a straight-line arrangement. Each plug features a 3-prong pin design with 50μ 24kt gold plating to help deliver high electrical conductivity and a stronger connection to wire conductors and has a light green tint for easy identification. These modular plugs are rated to work with PoE and PoH devices.
3-Prong Pin Design
Simply45's 3-prong pins feature 50μ of 24kt gold plating. Having a 3-prong pin provides three points of contact with the copper wire conductor, which provides a strong connection for high electrical performance and improved signal integrity with less heat build-up compared to a 2-prong connection.
