The Opticron 12x30 Imagic Image-Stabilized Binoculars let you enjoy high-power views of the world around you without having to use a tripod. Generally speaking, non-stabilized 12x30 binoculars would be difficult to use without a support system due to their relatively small exit pupil and the appearance of visible hand shake that binoculars 10x and over tend to suffer from. With image stabilization (IS) of ±3°, you'll see the details of far-off subjects without the hand shake that spoils the image of nonstabilized, high-power optics—even when you're glassing from a moving boat or vehicle. An axis IS system senses the movement and compensates to keep the views sharp and steady.
Optically, Opticron utilize compact roof prisms and anti-reflection fully multi-coated lenses to maximize light transmission and minimize light loss and distortion. Their compact design makes them comfortable to carry and handle out in the field, on the trail, at the stadium, or sightseeing around town. A simple and intuitive toggle switch puts the IS control at your fingertip. Opticron provide four AAA batteries to get you viewing right out of the box—two to use right away and two more to keep as extras.
