FotodioX EF-LT-FSN Overview

The Pro Fusion Smart AF Adapter from FotodioX allows a Canon EF- or EF-S-mount lens to be used on select L-Mount cameras. Electronic communication between an attached camera and lens is supported, which enables autofocus, image stabilization, transferring Exif data, and camera-controlled aperture functions.

To help ensure that electronic communication between an attached camera and lens is reliable, this adapter features a camera-to-lens calibration button and Fusion technology, which ensures the CPU contacts within the camera's mount and the CPU contacts on the lens bayonet are synchronized along with the functions they control.

This adapter is constructed from aluminum alloy and its mounting rings are made with brass. It also features a matte black internal coating to suppress reflections and glare for improved clarity. The adapter is compatible with most L-mount camera bodies, however is is not compatible with Leica-brand cameras.

  • Allows a Canon EF- or EF-S-mount lens to be used on an L-mount camera body; this adapter is not compatible with the Leica-brand L-mount cameras
  • Supports electronic communication between camera and lens to enable auto focus, image stabilization, on-camera aperture control, and Exif metadata generation when possible
  • Camera-to-lens calibration button to help ensure that electronic communication between an attached camera and lens is reliable

FotodioX EF-LT-FSN Reviews

It does what it says, but not supported lenses are risky.

It allows for canon the lenses to fit on l mount, but it has no continuous focus yet. The focus isn't tuned for not supported lenses so they don't get great focus performance. Easy to update, but they have a ways to go before I would really use it consistently.

Works, but now stuck on lens

Just what I needed to use my Canon L lens on my Lumix S1R

Works with SL and CL--partly

I had seen a note online that the Fotodiox Fusion Smart Auto Focus Adapter would work with SL and CL models, but only manual focus and with no aperture control. This turned out to be true, exactly so. As my CL did not work with either the Novoflex or MC-21 adapters, I was pleased to have something that allowed the little beast to use a Canon lens. The caveat being only wide open with no AF or image stabilization. At first it didn't appear to work at all, then I read the instructions online. There are two buttons on the adapter. One releases the lens to remove it from the locked position, the other is a calibration button, which you must push after connecting the adapter and lens to the camera and turning on the camera--in that order. You also have to manually select the APS-C frame if you are mounting an APS-C lens on all but the CL. This is a good alternative to the increasingly rare Novoflex adapter, which Novoflex has quit making, so I've been told. But not having aperture control or AF with the CL and SL is a drawback. Hopefully there will be a firmware update in the future that will correct this. It fully functioned out of the box with my SL2, so I presume that it may do the same with a Panasonic Lumix S1 series camera.

A manual could be great

It's well build, comes with with a great wood box, but no with a least a single paper of how to unlock the lens from the adapter, I need to go to the Fotofiox website for find how to unlock the lens *For unlock the lens you need to push down the lock button (No Fn button)*

Works great

when used with the S1, S5 and S1r and Zeis Milvus and Otis lenses. Does turning the focus ring on the camera activate the magnifier focusing aids in the camera?
Asked by: Michael
Henry, sorry for the confusion. The Mulvus and Otis are manual focus only lenses with electronic contacts. With a Panasonic lens, when you manual focus, using the focus ring on the lens, a portion of the screen is magnified to make it easier to focus. I was curious if these manual focus aids would be triggered with the focus ring on the lens of the Mulvus and Otis lenses.

The Leica SL2 and SL2S should support it just fine. Ollder models (CL, TL, and SL were created before the L Mount alliance was created. I’ll update from SL to SL2S as soon as I can. The Novlaflex EF to L mount works fine on my SL...!
