Dahle 552 Overview

The 552 Professional Rotary Trimmer from Dahle has a rotary blade that is encased within a plastic housing. The housing protects your hand from being cut while cutting paper. A good choice for this amateur photographer

This is my first bypass rotary cutter. I have used inexpensive "wheel-on-pad" rotary cutters and found them lacking for accurate, repeatable trimming. Plus, most are much smaller than the Dahle 552's 20 inches. The Dahle 552 does a fantastic job trimming up to 3 normal-thickness photos at the same time. Glad I bought it. My only issue is that the alignment guide is a fraction of a degree off and does not seem adjustable. (So, I align to the fixed side bars and use the alignment guide only to repeat depth.)

I am so thrilled with this. BH's customer service was five stars all the way. I have wanted one of these for decades and looked lots of places, then found one on BH. This trimmer works like a Swiss watch. All good. Thank you BH.

Are the markings on the cutter in inches or cm? I bought a Dahle from B&H before, but it came in cm and I can't use it.
