There are 3 things you need to use this half ball. 1. The Half Ball 2. A receiving bowl that will mount in your tripod 3. The Tripod I bought this to use with a Robus tripod sold here on B&H that came with the bowl. The base of the bowl was 70 mm and it dropped into a hole in the top of the tripod, It was retained by a latch and then it can be clamped if you do not want the bowl to rotate. I use mine with a Benro Gimbal also sold on B&H and it makes it very easy to set up your tripod and level out the gimbal. The Sachtler 75 system also uses a 75mm ball head so this may fit if you have the bowl already with your tripod.

FWIW, I have the larger Robus rc-8880 tripod, but use the same half ball leveling adapter as you. With the legs not extended at all, but splayed out to get the minimum height, there is only 1 cm (plus or minus a mm or 2) between the bottom of the handle and the floor. HTH.
