The Robus 75mm Half Ball Leveling Adapter is designed for Robus Vantage Series 3 and 5 tripods. It has a robust aluminum design and allows you to mount any 3/8"-16 flat base tripod head onto the Series 3/5 tripods, which have a 75mm bowl. The adapter features a 3/8"-16 mounting screw and a bubble level to ensure your camera is aligned with the horizon. In addition to the mounting screw, three set screws provide security for any mounted head, while the bottom handle features rubber grips for better handling when you level out your load.

There are 3 things you need to use this half ball.
1. The Half Ball
2. A receiving bowl that will mount in your tripod
3. The Tripod
I bought this to use with a Robus tripod sold here on B&H that came with the bowl. The base of the bowl was 70 mm and it dropped into a hole in the top of the tripod, It was retained by a latch and then it can be clamped if you do not want the bowl to rotate.
I use mine with a Benro Gimbal also sold on B&H and it makes it very easy to set up your tripod and level out the gimbal.
The Sachtler 75 system also uses a 75mm ball head so this may fit if you have the bowl already with your tripod.

The Sachtler Ace XL Fluid Head has an integrated 75mm half ball, but a portion of it can be removed to provide a flat base with 3/8"-16 thread. There should not be an issue mounting the thread above the Robus 75mm half ball leveling adapter.

How much clearance is there between the bottom of the handle and flat ground when the Robus RC-5570 tripod legs are splayed out to the minimum tripod height of just 4"?
FWIW, I have the larger Robus rc-8880 tripod, but use the same half ball leveling adapter as you.
With the legs not extended at all, but splayed out to get the minimum height, there is only 1 cm (plus or minus a mm or 2) between the bottom of the handle and the floor. HTH.
