This 25530 Boom Arm from K&M is meant to give more range to your microphone stand. The telescoping boom arm offers a range of 34 to 61". It has a t-bar locking screw and offers a 5/8" thread. Is the threaded connection on the bottom 5/8" ? I didn't see it listed on the product page.
the bottom of this boom arm is designed to fit into an existing mic stand, the 5/8" thread listed is at the top on the boom arm, to allow for industry standard a mic clip/holder for a microphone.
