Add this 40 x 40" Matthbounce Floppy to your grip kit for easily rigged light control, with the option to open the flag into a large 40 x 80" reflective surface. Because Matthews has shaved 8" off both the height and width of their traditional 4 x 4' floppy, this bounce's compact size allows it to be transported in certain passenger vehicles without the need for a dedicated grip truck or cargo van.

It looks like I'm getting conflicting answers on my question which was "When unfolded to its 40x80 position is one side all white and one is all black? I can't tell from the photos if the back side is all black."
Let me try to clarify, When unfolded to 40x80, is one 40x80 side all black and can be used as negative and the other 40x80 side all white to be used as a bounce?
Why doesnât the manufacturer add some basic pics so we all know what this thing is. We obviously are interested but the terrible clarity of the marketing photos and description really make it hard to pull the trigger. Half the answers here are saying itâs not all white on one side and all black on the other and thereâs no actual picture of the product!

Where is the hinge? The photos aren't clear. Is it on the edge with the pin or one of the sides?
It is located on the pin side. Matthew's does offer other variants in its 4x4 line of floppies if you are looking for that.

Is the black side good enough to create a negative fill? It looks more reflective than Duvetyne.
The black side of Matthbounce material is standard black ripstop, also known as sailcloth. It is certainly a bit more reflective than Duvetyn which is specifically engineered to absorb light, but the ripstop will certainly help in providing negative fill. It won’t do as good of a job as the Duvetyn that was made for this application, but it will provide negative fill.
