If you know that you want a full-featured monolight but can't decide whether to go with flash or continuous light; well, you can have both with the FV200 High Speed Sync Flash/Daylight LED Monolight from Godox. In continuous mode the unit has a 5600K color temperature and is dimmable from 0-100% with a CRI/TLCI rating of 96/97, indicating high accuracy in color reproduction. The light outputs up to 74,000 lux at 3.3' with its included reflector. It also has eight special effects that include Storm variations, TV, and Broken Bulb.

In flash mode the FV200's color temperature is again, 5600K and power can be adjusted from 1/16 to full power. It supports High Speed Sync at speeds as short as 1/8000 second. You can make these changes in continuous or flash mode. The FV200 is ready for worldwide use via its 100 to 240 VAC power supply. A standard Bowens-mount reflector with an umbrella channel is also included.

Ideal for out Spotlight experience.

Too noisy for commercial/corporate film and video.

I was originally very excited about this unit as I do both photo and video. There were not that many reviews or sample videos online about it. I was more aiming for the Aputure 120d Mk II, but this was 300$ less. I got it, and set it up, and then promptly re-packed it and got it ready to send back the very next day. I do video interviews, small commercials, and some film work, and the fan on this is WAY TOO LOUD for voice. I work with sound recording professionals, and NO WAY would they allow this light to be used. No way to turn the fan off either, and probably gets even louder the hotter it gets. Also iffy as a flash. Didn't seem that much brighter, and apparently the modeling light dims after every fire, and no way to turn it off, and no audio beep for full recycle. Also, while it seems sturdy, it's a beast of heaviness as everything is built into the head. If this fell over, it would smash the unit and do Serious bodily injury to someone else. Nice concept, and maybe in version 2.0 they will figure it out. Went for the tried and true Aputure 120d MK 2.

If the softbox you own/purchase has a Bowens S-mount speedring, then yes, it would be compatible for use with the Godox FV200 High Speed Sync Flash LED Light.

When using it as a Flash, what is the max power for modeling light? Can we use full power for this light (as LED) for modeling

My question is - does the modeling light goes to full 200W when the flash is in FLASH mode, or - at 100% the modeling light is only a fraction of 200W?
