Is this compatible with Arca Swiss 3 Legged Thing L-brackets like the QR11-2.0?
A staff member at B&H pulled both items from stock, and it turns out they ARE NOT compatible. as the sides of the groove are too thick for both the camvate plates as well as this SmallRig. Despite being adjustable for height of closing, it can't adjust for the thickness.

Can this be used to "drop in" to the QR mount from above the mount? Or does the plate have to slide into the mount from the front/rear?
most plates can drop in. The lever pulls the locking portion back far enough that you can drop in the camera from the top. I have several of these and all my plates will drop in.
