SmallRig BSE2346 Overview

The adjustable Swivel and Tilt Monitor Mount with Shoe Adapter from SmallRig attaches to your camera rig or camera shoe via its shoe adapter, and it mounts any 5 to 7" monitor with a 1/4"-20 thread. Supporting an on-camera monitor weighing up to 2.6 lb, the mount swivels 360° and tilts 140°, enabling you to position your monitor at the best viewing angle. The 1/4"-20 mounting screw features an easy-turn thumbscrew.

Constructed with durable aluminum, the mount also features protective rubber padding on top to protect your monitor from scratching, as well as preventing it from twisting. The mount includes an Allen wrench for tightening the mount.

Excellent Build Quality-But..

I had ordered this to replace the original hot shoe bracket that came with the Small HD focus 5 monitor as I had misplaced it. The build quality on the Small Rig bracket is top notch but I could not get it tight enough into the Small Rig cage and when it swiveled it just came loose. In my opinion the original Small HD bracket with the swivel option is a better fit after I eventually found it. I'll keep the Small Rig bracket instead of returning it as I'll find a use for it somewhere. As always b&h rocked with the fast shipping.

Perfect low-profile, solid adapter

Well-made, solid little mount that creates a very secure attachment to the camera. The tilt action is stiff but easy to position when you have a device attached to the top. It's nice because you don't have to unlock before adjusting and it just stays put. Note: the swivel action means you can rotate the mount around the vertical axis before you lock it down with the lower knurled knob, not after. I use this to attach a magnetic mount that holds an iPhone to the top of the camera. I can transfer and review images more conveniently without juggling the phone in one hand. I use Apple AirPrint with a compatible portable printer to make give-away prints as I shoot.

Does the bottom of the cold shoe mount accept a 1/4" for mounting to cages and accessory handles with no cold shoe?
