Mount a handgrip or other accessories onto a camera cage with this Bolt-On Mount with ARRI-Style Rosette from SmallRig. The compact aluminum adapter features two 1/4"-20 captive mounting screws to mount onto a cage or rig. On the other side, the rosette features an M6 female thread for mounting rosette-style accessories, and it allows for 360° rotation.

Works well, but blocks my memory card door

While the rosette locks nicely into the Nikon remote handle that I got for my Z8, when attached to the right side of the SmallRig cage, this mount blocks the memory door. The door can open around 3/4 of the way, but not far enough for the CFExpress card to be removed. I tried all angles, but no go. I'll end up having to buy a handle extender of some sort, or make my own, but this design needs to take into account its proximity to other parts of the camera, not just what it's being attached to. As it is now, if I'm on a shoot and need to swap out memory cards, I need to disassemble the handle first, which is annoying. I've noticed with SmallRig a number of bad design choices marring otherwise decent products, although I think the SmallRig ecosystem is mediocre on the whole, and a bit overrated.

It does what it's supposed to. It's a solid piece of hardware for mounting rosette attachments to cages and cheese plates. An essential for a complete rigging kit.

The center to center mounting point distance on the SmallRig Bolt-On Mount with ARRI-Style Rosette is 7/8".

Will this work for the Small Rig cage for the Sony A7s III?

The Smallrig Bolt-On Mount with ARRI-Style Rosette is able to mount onto any cage that has 1/4"20 threads. It would work fine on either side of a Smallrig A7S III cage.

Will the bolt pattern fit over a 3/8 arri hole ...

Will the bolt pattern fit over a 3/8 arri hole with 2x 1/4 20 on each end? It look to work on 3x 1/4 20 in a row for sure?

You mount this by using two 1/4-20 screws. It then allows a 3/8-16 bolt over a a 3/8" hole.

Will this mount on a Tilta cage? Is the bolt pattern (spacing) the same for the SmallRig as for the Tilta BMPCC cages?

This rosette is capable of bolting on any cage (it mounts via a standard 1/4 20" screw) and will enable you to mount accessories that feature standard Arri rosettes on them. Both Smallrig and Tilta use rosette accessories adhere to the Arri Standard.
