Lowepro BP 300 AW II Overview

Designed for photographers who need a versatile all-purpose outdoor adventure bag, the black Lowepro ProTactic BP 300 AW II Camera and Laptop Backpack has room for your camera, lenses, and photo accessories plus gear like tripods, clothing, and your laptop.

The large interior is split into two compartments to provide cushioned room for essential photo equipment as well as your regular outdoor gear. The photo compartment can hold a DSLR body with a lens attached and offers fast access through the sides. This photo compartment is equipped with the Quickshelf insert that can be easily reconfigured to hold an array of gear or removed completely for maximum storage space. The top half of the bag has its own access via the top flap.

The SlipLock loop system and tabs make it easy to add pouches and cases to the pack so you can easily add storage for water bottles, memory cards, and other essential gear. Ergonomic backpack straps provide all day comfort and a sternum band ensures the bag won't shift during strenuous activity like climbing over rocks, up trees, or while skiing. Lowepro's ActivZone back panel delivers targeted support at your shoulder blades as well as lumbar and waist for comfort on the move with a structured back panel for ventilation. The exterior is made from nylon that is resistant to splashing water or light rain to keep your valuable camera gear protected. If you get caught in heavy rain or want maximum protection from thieves, you can install the large wraparound All-Weather cover.

Lowepro BP 300 AW II Reviews

Good quality but…

I like to look and quality of the backpack. What I did not like was the fact that I feel unsafe when traveling. It would be very easy for someone to open the side pocket and steal gear without me noticing . I also find the organization tray inside the bag very unnecessary complicated.

Some Great Features

I like many features of this pack. I like to SlipLock loops around the pack so it's easy to clip stuff the the pack. I like that I can add photo or non-photo gear (clothing, etc.) in the top of the pack. I think the pack is well padded but the Quickshelf insert is very stiff and, for me, the smaller yellow inserts are too large. I substituted some regular Lowepro dividers. I have two main complaints about the bag. First I size, I wish it was a little larger. I couldn't find a volume listed (except 300) before I ordered it. The Protactic 350 and 450 are larger but they are different designs. Second are the side pockets, they will hold my 20 oz. Hydroflask but I think tripod feet will quickly wear through the stretchy pocket fabric. The very bottom is reinforced with heavier fabric but it doesn't come up the pocket sides far enough to cover my travel tripod feet.

ok, got the bag. so camera w/ lens can't go "vertical", thats a different bag. short answer this camera/3 lens combo will not all fit in camera storage spot. would need to use the top utility area as well for at least one or two of the lens. neat bag, but fairly small, more for a small mirrorless setup. returned and using the BP350

Yes, the Lowepro ProTactic BP 300 AW II Camera and Laptop Backpack will fit the Nikon D7500 with the 18-140mm lens attached and the Nikon 200-500mm lens (separately). The laptop compartment can fit most laptops with up to a 15 inch diagonal so a 14 inch will fit as well.
