The plate is designed with cutouts throughout its length so that it can be more lightweight. In this minimalist design made out of a single piece of aluminum, the plate offers reinforced 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threads, a release pin, and a stopper screw.

This plate is known not to work with select SmallRig and Kondor Blue ARRI dovetail baseplates.

Very good Arri Dovetail adapter.

A lot of Arri Dovetail plates are massive because they are meant to fit larger O'Connor plate bases, so I find it redundant to buy those types of dovetail adapters. I much prefer this 8Sinn adapter where you screw it onto your tripod's native plate (Manfrotto, Benro, Sirui, and some Sachtler and Miller tripod types). It's lighter weight takes up a lesser physical footprint on your tripod head. The 10 plate provides for plenty of travel to adjust balancing. It's also very cost effective compares to other companies' dovetail adapters.

beautifully made, doesn't fit smallrig baseplate

Not deep enough. Smallrig baseplate has a center stand off (think the point of letter 'M') that does not allow it to slide on. Will not work with other baseplates that have this feature. Read other reviews RE safety pin/button. Beatifully made and finished. too bad I can't recommend.

\This is specifically for the 8Sinn 15mm Baseplate BH #8S815BP • MFR #8-15BP. That requires another camera-specific plate for mounting your camera.
