Canon Extender RF 1.4x Reviews

Works well with EOS R7 + 200-800mm zoom

Works great. Looking forward to getting out of my backyard with it. All of the animal shots displayed were within 20 to 30 feet of my position. All were taken handheld. Moon photos were taken at full zoom + extender or backing off to 800mm. According to the viewfinder screen, at full zoom + extender it is at 1120mm.

Struggles with R7 Autofocus

I got the 1.4 extender to get that additional reach when birds are just a little away. When combined with my RF100-500 lens, I find that the Eye Tracking Bird Autofocus struggles to lock-on to birds. I then need to switch to Spot Focus. While this does work, it's not the best situation.
