The Push-On Lens Cap from Schneider is a simple, soft plastic slip-on style cap designed to protect the front or rear elements of a lens when not in use. The cap fits lenses that have a front or rear ring with an outside diameter of 28.5mm; this size differs from the threaded filter ring diameter of a lens.

This lens cap is supposed to fit 58mm lenses. Instead, the inside diameter is exactly 58mm and cannot fit on any 58mm lens. This was the only lens cap that was curved enough to fit a bulging macro lens, but the inside diameter is supposed to be wide enough to fit on the lens. Using it now inverted as a small parts tray.
Perfect fit on my 200mm lens. Heavy duty!
