I had purchased the manfrotto Carbon Fiber extension which was a bit too long. B&H quickly accepted a return and I purchased this on which, at a minimum length of about 7.5 inches, was perfect.

Will the bottom end of this Add-On Column accept ...

Will the bottom end of this Add-On Column accept 1/4 x 20 screw?

Leofoto DC-252C has a 3/8"-16 screw opening in the bottom. To attach a 1/4"-20 screw you will need this bushing adapter. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/101501-REG/Arca_Swiss_809011_Adapter_Screw_3_8_16.html

Does the bottom have a hook for hanging a pack or other weight to help with wind?

The Leofoto DC-252C Carbon Fiber Add-On Column for Tripods and Monopods does not have a hook on the bottom. This mounts on top of your existing column.
