The HPE Networking AP22 access point supports 802.11ax Wi-Fi with a total throughput of 1775 Mb/s over the 2 GHz and 5 GHz frequency bands. This access point is essentially set and forget. It automatically adjusts channels when no devices are connected to combat interference and is extremely reliable. It has been online 24/7 for over 2 months with no issues so far. The setup is super easy but requires an account and internet connection.
Easy to setup. Make sure you are using at/bt-based POE.

1 Collect S/Ns before installing. 2 hang the APs on ceiling and connect them over eth to a trunk port with a separate vlan per ssid (like guest, employee, voice, etc). make sure untagged vlan has DHCP services and internet access. Put all APs in same switchport profile. Create an aruba acct, add the S/N manually. Once all are connected, create SSIDs Very easy to setup. Don't have these APs compete with same wifi client area.

It says "Down-tilt Antennas", how does that work then it can be wall, desk or ceiling mounted? Do you set the mounting position via SW? Also, I want to mount it on the basement wall or ceiling, does it do up-tilt?
So for this item it would radiate wireless signal in a sphere. So direction of the antennas would not impede speed or distance. Nor would the devices orientation, however placement in structure such as a basement would be limiting its effective range.

Does this require an Aruba account and/or cloud-based management? I need to set up an air-gapped network and all network management/configuration needs to happen locally. This would be attached via a 1Gbps port on an existing managed router.
