The QuickRelease ONE v2 is completely toolless in operation and uses a dual-lever release design that instantly mounts and releases your camera from your tripod or rig with a single twist. The QuickRelease ONE v2 is made from durable stainless steel and aluminum components. An Allen wrench is included to secure the QuickRelease ONE v2 to your camera.

I really like the idea for this and it would really work for me if there was an option to replace the center 1/4 bolt with a 3/8 one.

got this for attaching my camera to the simultaneously purchased sirui monopod and/or the edelkrone flex tilt. Seemed like an excessively indulgent gadget, but worked so well, now keep it attached to use for a tripod too. Wasn't obvious how to connect to the monopod but followed the directions and aligned the screws to the head and it only needed 1/3 of a turn to attach. Might have liked the previous version which attaches to the camera with any coin, while this version requires an allen wrench, which one wouldn't usually carry along with a camera, but the two handles on this version certainly makes the action easily accessible. Thinking of getting another one for a second camera.

in field, we need to put down camera on surface ( carpet/stone/compound side wall), Dust/sand/things like that could be jammed in bottom open grew. any such issue expected or a way to get cleaned later if needed?

As a former movie camera assistant, I would avoid putting the camera on harsh surfaces by laying down a clean camera carpet, or a tarp or by using a tripod head on a high-hat stand. If you do have to put it on dirt, be prepared with a small brush and/or blower to clean out the detritus.

The edelkrone QuickRelease ONE v2 Universal Quick Release System (B&H# EDQCKRELONE2) could work for securing most devices under 6.6 lb. (3 kg) with a female 1/4"-20 thread on their underside (such as many SmallHD on camera monitors) to a male 1/4"-20 thread on, say, a stand, tripod, or quick release plate.
