For Linux and Mac cross compatibility, you would simply need to format the drive into the ExFAT File System on either machine.

Sandisk as improved the performance of their SSDs. The Extreme V2 is now as fast as the Pro V1. The Pro V2 is twice as fast as its predecessor.

Does the read/write capability have anything to do with video playback performance when video editing? Or is the speed advantage basically limited to the file transfer stage?
