This cinebloom diffusion filter work just fine during the day. But at night you get these reflecting lights from the filter, which I'm not a fan of.

Just the Right amount of diffusion

Just the right amount of diffusion to take the edge off when the critical sharpness of the Fuji GF 110 f 2 is just a bit unkind to a portrait shoot.

20% may be a little too much but still amazing. Darker blacks and softer skin. Amazing halo effect on lights

I really enjoyed this filter. It blooms the lights in a very subtle way. And it softens skin tones.

Nice glass, bad thread

The diffusion is nice but the filter threads are very questionable. Trying to remove the filter on its first use it constantly jammed up, not sure how it will last in the long term.

This would be the appropriate size, and these filters would work very well if you're looking to soften a sharp image a little or get bloomed highlights.

Do you use diffusion filters such as this one in conjunction with a UV filter, or without it?
Asked by: Michael
I usually use the diffusion filter alone, without a UV filter. That is because if you stack filters there is a greater chance of getting reflections and ghosting.

What's the difference between this filter and a Black Pro Mist Filter? Is it fair to compare them?

The effect is very similar with the Moment Cinebloom filters. The CineBloom diffusion filter takes the edge off your digital sensor. It not only catches and blooms light, but softens hard edges and has a smoothing effect on skin tones, making wrinkles less noticeable.

Depending on the lens you may introduce vignetting. As you stack filters, the vignetting becomes more apparent.

If I'm using a VND, does it matter if I put the Cinebloom in front of the lens or in front of the VND?
Asked by: Kelvin
If your variable neutral density (VND) filter has 58mm filter threads on the front of the filter, then no, it should not matter if you place the Moment 58mm CineBloom Diffusion Filter (10% Density) in front of the VND filter or if you place the VND filter in front of the Moment 58mm CineBloom Diffusion Filter (10% Density).

Works on Canon Rebel t7i?
Asked by: Netanyahu
It will depend on the lens that you are using on the Canon Rebel T7i. Different lenses have different filter thread diameters. Check the front of the lens around the glass it usually says the filter diameter that it accepts and then you can purchase a filter that corresponds to that filter size.
