A subset of the Synchron Percussion II collection, Vienna Symphonic Library Synchron Timpani II Full Library is a virtual instrument with a library that accurately captures the sound of five timpani played with soft mallets. The instruments were recorded at Synchron Stage A Vienna with every nuanced detail using seven, phase-controlled multimicrophone setups. The included Synchron Player allows you to mix the microphones to create stereo, 5.1 surround, or Auro 3D mixes, each with different levels of ambience and stereo panorama.

Synchron Drums II offers five Adams Artist Alpha timpani (20, 23, 26, 29, and 32"), which cover a range of two octaves. Single hits were recorded in open and muted variants with 12 dynamic layers and 4 round-robins for single strokes.

The library also provides various types of rolls. Static rolls were recorded without changing dynamics and allow you to transition smoothly through velocity layers from pianissimo to fortissimo. Dynamic rolls were recorded with dynamic changes (crescendos and diminuendos) spanning 2, 4, 6, and 8 seconds. Release the key at any time, and the individually adapted release samples will be triggered automatically.
