I know it seems like a lot of money for a machined plate, that other companies sell for a lot less. When mounting to a very expensive lens, the other plates fail. The movable stop tab is essential for a big lens to avoid twisting. The QD holder is an added bonus, that fits my Leophoto SP-01 strap perfectly and securely. I would say just buy it for the quality and security if you have an expensive lens

I purchased this Kirk KLP-360 QR Lens Plate for use with my NIkkor Z 180-600 with a BlackRapid RS-4 Sling Strap attached. It works flawlessly and is of premium construction. It's the prefect size to allow one to use the long lens on a tripod concurrently with a BR sling strap. As with other Kirk products I use (L-Brackets), Very highly recommended!

You can add another screw to the Kirk KLP-360 Quick Release Lens Plate for Select Lenses. Chances are it will not fit the lens; the space is not that wide. Another 1/4 screw for that plate is the Kirk 1/4"-20 x 1/2" Captive Screw for Lens Plates, BH #KILPS1 (https://bhpho.to/48jYVvP).

The Kirk KLP-360 Quick Release Lens Plate for Select Lenses does fit the Canon RF 24-105mm f/2.8 L IS USM Z Lens (Canon RF). Note, the tripod collar has one 1/4 thread and one 3/8 thread. But the plate comes with one 1/4 screw.
