Once connected, the access point transfers up to 1800 Mb/s of data wirelessly over the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequencies, even in dense wireless environments such as schools, hotels, restaurants, and conference centers. Fast Wi-Fi
The WAX610 is designed to deliver 802.11ax Wi-Fi speeds of up to 1800 Mb/s over the 2.4 and 5 GHz frequencies. It uses technologies such as OFDMA and MU-MIMO to help provide reliable speed and coverage for up to 30 concurrent users in congested environments such as schools, hotels, restaurants, and conference centers.
Enterprise Level Security
Your network is secured with WPA3 encryption, while support for eight wireless network IDs (SSIDs) and multiple VLANs to provide separate access to your employees, guests, and more.
Quick Setup
Connect the WAX610 to a PoE-compatible network switch or router through its 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet port for power and data. Hardware is included to mount this access point onto a wall or ceiling.
Insight Management
A 1-year subscription to the Netgear Insight cloud management platform is included with the WAX610. With it, you can configure and monitor your network from almost anywhere in the world via the mobile app or web-based portal. You can also perform tasks such as monitor Wi-Fi activity, receive downtime notifications, reboot devices, and upgrade their firmware.

Directions for setup less than perfect

The device was configured at first on the Netgear Insight App. I did have to change a few things from the web GUI because the app depends on a connection to the internet. My wifi network is a pro audio setup and is offline. Otherwise despite some less than clear instructions it works!

Faster Speeds than ISP

You have to go into the app to modify settings to have the router perform at its highest potential. But other than that, this thing picks up faster speeds than what my internet provider is providing. I’m super happy with it.
