I'll Just Summarize He Nokton Performance Compared To Those Two Refernces In A Few Points: - The Nokton F/1.5 Can Cover Duty For ~90% Of The Images One Would Ever Take At Equivilent Image Quality - It Makes A No-brainer First 50 For Gen-purpose Photography And Travel - It's Shorter Length, Width And Lightness (to Me) Look And Feel "just Right" On Any M Body - The Above Makes It A Bit More Inconspicuous For Street Photography Vs. The Leica Lenses - Weaknesses: Definitely Have Seen Magenta Fringing But Not Really Flaring. - Leica Lenses Are Well-known Not To Have CA/fringing Or Flaring. For Some A Value, Others Less Or Not. - Limitation: Sharpness Cropped In Vs. Leica Lenses. You Won't Be Able To Crop In A Person Across The Street As Sharply On 60MP's With The Nokton 50mm. - Colors, Skin Tones, Saturation In A Nice, Pleasing Balance. - Sharpness/detail: In Order, Highest To Lowest: Leica F/2 APO's, Leica F/1.4 Or F/2 ASPH/FLE, Nokton VC ASPH - I Actually Mainly Bought It As A General Travel/street Lens + Less-clinical, More-flattering Portrait Lens For Which It Nicely Fits The Bill.
