I researched many brands of boom arms. I narrowed my search to this one. I wasn't disappointed. The arm is well built and is a great addition to my home audio studio.

Works well and allow for more precise mic positioning than my old vertical stand. To be honest though, I haven't used it much, but I look forward to using it more in the future.

Works as advertised and stays where I put it when adjusted. And never bites! LOL The logo doesn't bother me as it's relatively small and mostly off camera.

I've almost bought this boom several times, but I just couldn't justify it. I thought I would find something just as good for less on amazon or something. I bought several different brands and I'm here to tell you this... DO NOT WASTE MONEY ON OTHER BOOM ARMS. I did it and I'm here to tell you that because I did you don't have to now. I should have purchased this from the very beginning and saved myself a few hundred dollars. Since buying this I no longer have to adjust tensioning points to try to hold my mic where I want it, no more fiddling with loosening nut to angle mic. This is a pull it where you want it and let go. It just stays where you leave it regardless of the angle or position. Whatever wizardry they put into developing this is amazing. I get if you think the big white RODE is obnoxious or whatever, but I'm going to tell you after using other brands and coming to appreciate the creation and ease of use for this product I have grown to love the logo on there. There's guys deserve to have it on there like that. If it's that bad just cover it up with some fabric tape. The neoprene sleeves really make this a sleek looking unit. Hope this helps any of u on the fence about it. I won't use any other boom for my streaming or podcast.

Sturdy mic stand that stays in place

Great mic stand, paired with a Rode VideoMic NTG. Only taking away one star because it only moves so far back when trying to drop the height (think pushing the mic down and away from you). I have other stands that provide much more flexibility in that dimension. You can overcome this by mounting in a different location, but if you are limited in mounting spots like I am, you'll be constantly pushing against its limit.

No but there is a guy on youtube that knows how to remove the branding with chemicals. The sleeves help for operation and stealth though. Also this might not matter, but I don't mind the branding. But I am a tasteless SoundCloud rapper. jk

The minimum weight requirement for this model has been lowered to 90 grams instead of the 700 grams of the previous model because of demand to mount lighter cameras and smartphones.
