Originally I was going to purchase a more expensive matte box until I realized if anything were to happen to it it would have been a major loss. These camera/lens accessories are tools, and this tool works just as well as the more expensive ones. B&H offerers wonderful array of film tools to help you on their journey, as well as quick shipping, like the one that came with my purchase. I was able to receive the item before my shoot date and am very satisfied with the item and the service provided by B&H.

I'm looking for something that fits the sony PZ 28-135mm. Would this fit the 105mm diameter with an adapter?
Asked by: Wesley
No, the Tilta 3-Stage 4 x 5.65” Carbon Fiber Clip-On Matte Box will not be able to attach to the Sony PZ 28-135 mm. You would need to measure the front of the lens with a caliper to get the diameter of the end of the lens. Another option would be to work with the included 15 mm rod mount and a 15 mm baseplate that allows you to work with 15 mm rods. It could be mounted that way.

I'm looking for a matte box to use on a Sony 200-600mm lens. Will this matte box work? I want to run a VND. Thanks!
Asked by: John
Yes, the Tilta 3-Stage 4 x 5.65" Carbon Fiber Clip-On Matte Box (110mm Back) could work if you have 15mm rod mounts. However, you may want to consider the Tilta Mirage VND Matte-Box that would screw into the filter threads of your lens model. The Mirage comes with ring sizes up to 82mm. Does the MB-T12 has a safety latch or something that prevents the filter trays from falling if you forgot to lock them?
Asked by: Roei
Not really-- you do need to tighten the screws to lock them in, or it is possible that they'll fall out. This happened to me once. That said, they don't fall out *easily*, so you may be lucky.

How do I use a 77mm lens with this matte box?

This matte box has 15mm rod support. With a lens of that size you would need to have the camera on a baseplate with 15mm rods.

I need a donut for this Tilta MB T12 matte box so I can use some still lenses. Any recommendations?
Asked by: Florent
There is a set of six available for the Fotga DP3000 for $20 you can find. I don't know if their outside diameter matches the back diameter of the MB-T12. But for $20 you can experiment.
