Works well, inexpensive. Bang for the buck can't be beat. I'd love to see these with a rechargeable battery integrated instead of AAs but that's just a wish.

    Simply Amazing Quality

I bought two of these speedlights after seeing Dustin Dolby use them on his Workphlo YouTube product photography lighting tutorial channel. I was immediately intrigued by the fact that these lights have built-in triggers. So, that would mean no more Pocket Wizards dangling from my lights, as great as they are. Totally wireless triggering leaves me free to easily hand-hold the lights if necessary and just makes life easier all around. I used to try velcro-ing or taping the Pocket Wizards to the light stands, which was a bit difficult but it worked OK, but hand-holding required wrangling them as well as the speedlight and the modifier. Now, I'm totally wireless! And I also bought the YN560-TX hot shoe transmitter so I can control flash output, zoom and on/off all from the camera. No more standing on my toes, crouching down or craning my neck trying to see what power I have the speedlights set to during a shoot. It's all right in front of me and I can change it easily. It really saves my back! And the quality of these lights-excellent. Very solid build and smooth action. It looks and feels like a more expensive light. And they work flawlessly. There's a PC connector as well as a power pack receptacle so I can use my BOLT power pack with them. And I do. Awesome. Dustin shows you how to make totally pro images with inexpensive equipment and these YN560-III speedlights are totally pro. And they're so amazingly priced @ $75...the newer YN560-IV is $85, and the TX controller is only $45. I highly recommend this speedlight system if you're looking to get very good equipment that produces excellent results at a lower price point. *Note that I use them for small product photography set-ups in the studio. For situations where you need super-fast recycling times (e.g. shooting weddings) you'll likely need more expensive speedlights that can handle that.

Yes, it will work with Leica Q3, you can also use any speed light with Nikon TTL compatibility like https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1801043-REG/westcott_4660_westcott_fj80_se_m_universal.html or https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1403494-REG/godox_v350sn_v350_flash_for_nikon.html or https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1341867-REG/godox_v860ii_f_nikon_kit_v860ii_for_nikon_kit.html

Does this flash work well with a Canon SL1?

This flash works well with the Canon Rebel SL1 camera, but keep in mind this is a manual exposure flash, and does not support any TTL communication.

    question

Is this flash compatible with pocket wizards?
    Asked by: Anonymous
Yongnuo's radio system will not work with PocketWizard radio system, but if the flash has a built-in PC or sync terminal, you can connect PocketWizard remotes to the flash. If not, then they would need B&H # WIHSFM3 or B&H # IMMHSF1PW to connect the PocketWizard radio remote to the flash. Then it would work like normal.

Does this flash work on a Sony A7III? That is, integrated into the hot shoe of my Sony camera?
    Asked by: Jenny
The YN 560III Speedlight is a manual flash, does not support TTL, it only uses center pin - it will work on A7III.

    question

I see in the overview that there is a socket for the SF-18C or SF-17C external power packs. These have gone out of production and I can't find them anywhere. Is there any other external power pack that is compatible with these flashes?
    Asked by: D F.
Being that this flash has a high voltage connection similar to those found on Canon speedlites, you could use the Bolt Cyclone PP-310 Compact Power Pack and BO-CZ Canon Flash Cable Kit B&H # BOPP310Q, as an alternative to the discontinued SF-18C and SF-17C battery packs. You would still need AA batteries in the flash to operate functions such as the LCD display. Please see the link below for reference.
