Perfect fit for my vintage C8. The extra storage compartment is nice.
Big but nice for Meade 8 inch

I purchased this 9.25 inch case instead of an 8 inch version for my Meade 8 inch ACF OTA because I did not want a slim fit case. Now my OTA fits nicely in it with the solar finder and Telrad base. There is a strap inside to fix OTA. To my surprise, I did not need to remove the 2 inch diagonal from OTA because the case is long enough to accommodate it. I could not be happier. It has an extra pocket big enough for Telrad and more accessories. The overall quality is good. I can recommend it. Now I just need to find out if airlines will allow it in the cabin or not.

Does this bag have room for a mounted finder or guide scope? Or do they have to be removed first?
The accessories need to be removed. There is a hidden exterior pocket for stowing accessories like a finderscope, small guide scope, eyepieces, diagonals, and visual back.
