Convert your Manfrotto MVH 502AH Head to Arca-type mounting with the Quick Release Bridge System from Kirk. This durable aluminum system replaces the original Manfrotto bridge with a bridge plate featuring an Arca-type clamp top that is compatible with all standard Arca-type compatible baseplates. The bridge plate features six threads that can be used to offset longer lenses or heavier rigs when mounting the Arca-type clamp.

Note:
This system will only work on the Manfrotto MVH 502AH Fluid Head.

I use this bridge system to shoot still photographs only, and I find it excellent. It is really solid and the length of the clamp helps with this. The engraved lines make it really easy to maintain consistent camera placement. The built-in magnetic hex wrench makes it a breeze to rotate the clamp 90 degrees, so you can switch from using a camera plate to a lens plate easily.

Like all KES/Kirk products, the build quality is excellent and use greatly improves the original function for arca-swiss users. Expensive, worth every penny.

The MVH 502AH fluid video head comes with two ...

The MVH 502AH fluid video head comes with two 3/8-inch accessory attachment points, one on each side of the bridge. How do these attachment points work when the Kirk replacement bridge is installed?

You lose both attachment points with this replacement. Those two screw holes are one piece with the oringal head. When you replace it, there is a half circle left on the head-side where the hole used to be

Yes, the one above works as well but you might want to consider BH #KIQRAB1QR if you are using long lenses or heavy rigging. It can offset the weight a lot better.

Unfortunately, Kirk Photo does not manufacture a Quick Release Bridge System for the Manfrotto MVH 504X Head. They only offer the Kirk Quick Release Bridge System for Manfrotto MVH 500 Fluid Video Head, B&H # KIVH500BQRV2, or the Kirk Quick Release Bridge System for Manfrotto MVH 502AH Fluid Video Head, B&H # KIMVH502BQR.
