The MVH 502AH fluid video head comes with two 3/8-inch accessory attachment points, one on each side of the bridge. How do these attachment points work when the Kirk replacement bridge is installed?
You lose both attachment points with this replacement. Those two screw holes are one piece with the oringal head.
When you replace it, there is a half circle left on the head-side where the hole used to be

What are the differences?
Yes, the one above works as well but you might want to consider BH #KIQRAB1QR if you are using long lenses or heavy rigging. It can offset the weight a lot better.

Unfortunately, Kirk Photo does not manufacture a Quick Release Bridge System for the Manfrotto MVH 504X Head. They only offer the Kirk Quick Release Bridge System for Manfrotto MVH 500 Fluid Video Head, B&H # KIVH500BQRV2, or the Kirk Quick Release Bridge System for Manfrotto MVH 502AH Fluid Video Head, B&H # KIMVH502BQR.
