Datavideo PTR-10 Reviews
Datavideo so so
PTR 10 Mark 2..Yeah it works, but is no PTZ that I would say is good. Yes I can put on any large Camcorder, but the controls are not that good, they are average like most Datavideo products that I can see. The controller has a very small joystick and the zoom control is always zooming when I'm trying to control the pan, not good, the joystick is too short, the zoom control wheel needs to be stiffer if you are to put both controls on one dial, the controller they recommend RMC 180, plus the controls aren't trully variable which is a bummer. It works, but don't ever think it's a true PTZ. Also the ZEK1 kit for the Z280 which to provide zoom encoder control works, but has some serious lag and the zoom preset is only one speed. The lag part comes from being able to regain control over the zoom after the preset is used. I have to wait a good 5-6 seconds after using the preset to gain control back to use the zoom control again, pretty bad. Not a one camera with presets action camera. If you ask me the controls are raw, not precise...
Average
If you could a decent review about this unit, but there isn't. It works, but sub-standard for PTZ operation.
