Shutterboss won't work with the Nex7. For the Nex7 you can use this RMTDSLR2 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/916138-REG/sony_rmtdslr2_wireless_remote_commander.html?sts=pi&pim=Y

Can the hot shoe unit be rotated for different photographer locations? Also, how far does it stick out over the lens? (Will sometimes use it with fisheye lenses)
Asked by: Bill
Unfortunately Vello Wireless ShutterBoss 4.0 Remote Timer and Trigger for Select Sony Multi-Terminal Cameras hot shoe cannot be rotated. The receiver is 3.3 inches long. I would recommend placing a ruler over the hot shoe of your camera and then you can see where 3.3 inches is and it will give you an idea of how far it stick out over the front of the camera.

When using long exposure mode, the on/off button must be pressed to start the exposure. At the end of the set time, does the button need to be pressed agin to stop the exposure or does it automatically stop?
Asked by: Frederick
If the Vello Wireless ShutterBoss 4.0 Remote Timer and Trigger for Select Sony Multi-Terminal Cameras is set to Bulb mode, then you would need to press again to end the exposure. If set for a long exposure time, the exposure will automatically be stopped at the end of that set time without the need to press anything.

Asked by: Evan
Yes, the Vello Wireless Shutterboss 4.0 can trigger multiple cameras - in this case, both the A7RII and A7RIII can be triggered. However, each camera will need its own receiver. Please see the manual (under "Setting the Smart Code") in order to pair the second receiver with the transmitter in use.
