The LED will light up green when an input signal is recognized, and red if the signallevel is too high which may cause distortion or “clipping”. THe green level does not change from dim to bright.

If I supply 5V USB power will the preamps operate with a mic or guitar signal and the 1/4" output works? Or
Is this like the TC-Helicon GO TWIN that can't do anything at all without a computer connected? That interface won't even turn on without a computer connected.
The M-Audio M-Track Duo Desktop 2x2 USB Audio Interface is bus powered via USB and it can be used with iOS devices when used with an Apple Camera Connection Kit, a USB breakout cable, and a USB power adapter. Connection to a computer is not required.
