I just bought this thing and it works on my ...
I just bought this thing and it works on my consumer vdeo camera and my dslr but with my new canon XF400 it only works if the camera is in the XF-AVC mode and not the MP4 mode. AND only in 60p. If I try in mp4 30p is says there is no HDMI signal. It also gets extremely hot. Is this unit defective?
The display will get hot at max brightness. Also you should check your output and see if it matches what the display will accept as framerates.

They are essentially the same monitor but the Pro version makes mounting and powering accessories easier.
The standard vision has 2 battery slots for powering the monitor for extended periods of time. the Pro Version swaps out one of the battery slots for a dummy battery. This allows you to mount and power accessories that use NP-F Style batteries at the same time.
An example of this is a wireless transmitter. On the LUT 7 Monitor you would need to purchase an articulating arm to mount the transmitter and an additional battery to power it. On the LUT 7 Pro you could mount the transmitter on the NP-F dummy battery built into the monitor solving both the mounting and powering at the same time.

If I am recording with a BMPCC in 5k or 6k format, can I watch on this monitor via hdmi?
You can watch on this monitor via HDMI because the highest that the BMPCC 6K will output via HDMI is 1080p60.

In my canon r6 I can choose HDMI resolution 1) Auto 2) 1080p. So switching to 1080 would solve the issue when recording in 4k at a higher frame rate, is that correct?
