The Domke FA-031 U.S.P.O. Shoulder Pad is an ergonomically designed pad that is made of thick foam rubber on a tough leather backing. This pad is identical to the shoulder pad used by letter carriers with the addition of touch fastener tabs which adjusts to fit straps up to 2.75" wide. I have been a dedicated Domke user for years and just now finding out about this little awesome find! As a photojournalist, my Domke F-7 double AF bag is my office and its heavy the amount of stress this took off my 65-year-old shoulder was amazing. It kept the bag where I wanted it with just enough slippage to allow easy movement of the bag when working out of it. Working in Fairbanks Alaska in the winter all of my gear has to pass my winter test before I comment, this shoulder pad took me by surprise and stayed soft until about 30 below zero, I took it the 40 below and it survived that says a lot right there. Of course, had to get it wet while cold (above zero) it wipes off it was damp but not saturated didn't seem to effect it The contour of the pad is perfectly angled to distribute the weight on your shoulder and keep the bag in position. Domke is where function and simplicity are what they are known for this is true for the shoulder pad !
I bought my bag elsewhere a few years ago and never knew this existed. I've been looking for something like this ever since I got my. bag and just stumbled across it, It's perfect!
