How does this lens compare to the Nikkor AF-S ...
How does this lens compare to the Nikkor AF-S 20mm f1.8? Thank you.
On YouTube, Ricci has done a series of videos comparing different Z-mount lenses amongst themselves and also against equivalent F-mount lenses, and he has a couple on the Z 20mm f1.8 S. (Can't include links, but you should be able to find that easily enough by searching on YouTube.)

Does barrel distortion increase when shooting ...
Does barrel distortion increase when shooting with nikon Z8 in DX mode?
The barrel distortion does not increase when shooting in DX mode. Due to the crop, it actually should be less noticable. If you're shooting RAW, the distortion is easily corrected by softwares like Adobe Lightroom, or Capture One. Alternatively if you are shooting JPEG, you can go into the Z8's Photo Shooting Menu. You will find "Auto distortion control", if you enable this function you will eliminate the distortion in both DX & FX modes.

How good is the Nikon Z 20mm 1.8 S lens with sun ...
How good is the Nikon Z 20mm 1.8 S lens with sun stars? I prefer a good clean star with light sources when stopped down a bit.
The Nikon Z 20mm f/1.8 S lens performs very well with sun stars, especially when stopped down to smaller apertures like f/11 or f/16. The lens features a 9-blade rounded diaphragm, which contributes to well-defined, attractive 18-point sun stars when stopped down.

Have any of you tested this Z 20 mm prime (or the ...
Have any of you tested this Z 20 mm prime (or the Z 24 mm 1.8) to the 20 mm on the Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-24mm f/2.8 S Lens, particularly for astro images? I'm a big fan of the old Ai-S 20 mm and 24 mm lenses and am wondering if the 20 mm and 24 mm focal distances on the zoom are as good, or nearly as good as the new Z primes of the same focal lengths. I'm debating between the primes and the zoom.
Thanks for your time,
Andy
We have not tested the lenses side by side for optical performance but based on customer feedback so far, more people are using the 20mm f1.8 for astrophotography than the 14-24mm.

How does this lens compare with the Zeiss Milvus ...
How does this lens compare with the Zeiss Milvus 21mm f/2.8 lens? (I realize the Zeiss is manual focus and requires an FTZ converter for use on Nikon mirrorless, and these are not factors for me.)
I do love this lens. I cannot provide you comparisons with the Zeiss that I don't own - but I can also tell you from the guy that I follow (Hudson Henry Photography) and my amateur experience that this lens is extremely sharp edge to edge. I have been amazed. My only disappointment has been my own errors in making poor f-stop choices a few times (field of flowers). Unfortunately B&H doesn't allow us to have a link to Flickr pictures - nor upload examples that I can find. I wish you luck in whichever lens you choose! I also must say I LOVE the fact that it opens up to 1.8!

Does this have coma in the corners when wide open ...
Does this have coma in the corners when wide open at 1.8?
In reading the Camera Labs review more carefully, they state that coma is visible in the corners at f1.8, but that the performance is better than the similar, but older Nikkor F lens. They also state that Coma is almost gone at f2.8.
