Bower Vinyl Cable Release with Lock Reviews
Not Great.

This is just okay. Lost the button end once because it became unthreaded. Found it though. The male threads for the camera's shutter release make me nervous. They are tapered and don't screw in completely. I'm afraid they will strip the threads on my cameras. Next time I'll get a nicer one.
Cable release works great!

It's hard to find a good 12" cable release these days. This one works great..!

question
Will this cable work with an Argus c3?
Asked by: Anonymous
Being that the Argus C3 had a thread shutter release button, this cable release can work with it.

will this work with an old Canon AE-1 ?
Asked by: Laura
Yes. The threaded tip should screw into the hole in the middle of the shutter release button.

question
I am looking for a threaded cable release that has a 1 plunge on the threaded side. Meaning I have some cable releases that are 3/4 or less when it is used, but I need a longer throw on the business side of the cable release for a custom shutter I am using. Any suggestions???
Asked by: Peter C.
You MIGHT be able to strip 1/4 off the plastic jacket somewhere in the middle of the cable, and then pull the two remaining segments together again. This should, in effect, make the throw 1/4 longer. TRY AT YOUR OWN RISK.

question
Will this work with a Pentax 645?
Asked by: Karen L.
I think the screw mount is a universal size. Ive been able to use it on my 4x5, all of my 35mm, and one of my digital cameras, so I'd intuit that it would work with your Pentax.
